Dixie Transport Drivers Club Reunion

Dixie Transport Company operated in McCreary County, Kentucky starting in the late 1930s as a car towing service. After cutting back its operation during World War II (1941-45) the company came back into full operation from the mid to late 40s through the 1950s and 60s as a car hauler before ceasing its operations in McCreary County. The company continued operating in other areas, outside McCreary County, through the 1980s. In recent years, the drivers, families and friends of Dixie Transport have been meeting annually for a reunion.

Dear Dixie Transport Drivers & Friends:

In 2014, our annual reunion will be held Saturday June 21st at the McCreary County Park/Senior Citizens' Center on Highway 27 north Whitley City. Dinner will be served and memories shared! The reunion will begin at 11:00am with the meal served at 1:30pm. This will be an indoor event held regardless of weather conditions.

Annual membership dues can also be paid at that time. Please keep in mind that the membership dues are not a "donation" to the Dixie Transport Drivers Club, but membership dues to keep the club alive and active. Money is used each year for expenses related to the reunion, flowers and memorials for members(past drivers and their families), and other projects.

For more information call Jack Koger at (606)376-8737 or (606)516-1729.

We look forward to seeing everyone at this year’s reunion of the Dixie Transport Drivers.
